how long doe it take for a persons organs to recover from heavy drinking?!

If I've been drinking very heavily (up to 15 beers a night or a liter of vodka in a few days) every day for about 6 months do you think i caused any damage to myself? Ive recently quit drinking in excess because it was starting to interfere with my life. My mother died and i fell into a binge. i used to be a very healthy person always watching what i ate and exercised every day. I've gained 17 pounds, eat and drink all kinds of junk never exercise anymore, and i just want my old life back. The question is what kind of damage have i caused myself and will i be able to completely recover?
