No way to know for sure I never use deodorant and one of my friends doesn't wear it either. I'm male and I use an unscented women's antiperspirant which is stronger then any men's deodorant that I've ever tried. The reason I use it instead of a men's product is that I found that I was allergic to all deodorant to some degree.
