Im going to see my surgeon tomorrow, or at least I think I am, I know im going to the hospital. Anyway its my first appointment since being referred to get my gallbladder out, and ive been told I need to take a pot or urine? Why do they need to test my urine. Also what will happen at this appointment. And I should be honest and say Im a large girl. Im 16 and probably overweight. Will my surgeon tell me to lose weight before he will preform the op or does it matter if Im a big person or not?
Im scared of being told im to "fat" to have the operation.

They'll test your urine to look for infection, sugar, protein, and other things to rule out a UTI causing your symptoms, and to make sure you're helathy. You don't need to tell him you're a large girl, he'll know by examining you. If you need your gallbladder out, your weight won't make a difference. He'll do a physical exam, maybe an ultrasound, especially if you haven't had one already, and talk to you.
