If this is the normal, run of the mill, stomach flu, you should plan on being out of commission for about 2 to 3 days; perhaps longer. Let it run its course, drink a lot of water and stay in bed as much as you can tolerate. That will help it pass faster and easier.
For most of us, the fever, exhaustion, and aches and pains of the flu can be debilitating for a week or two.
And we can still feel yuk after that.
