Sorry you're dealing with that. Please remember that if it gets so bad that you are getting depressed or not functioning, you need to get proffesional help. But I'll do the best I can, and feel free to ignore whatever parts are not useful to you. First, be careful about putting labels on yourself - you may very well have adhd. But know that this can be misdiagnosed, and also that anxiety certainly can be a part of adhd, just as anger and loss of focus can be part of anxiety disorders, they are not the same. Also, sedating medications used to help with anxiety can actually sometimes make adhd worse. So, at some point it would be good to see a doctor or therapist to see if you really can fall into a diagnosis category - and if that would help.

As to taking something like Kalms - it is an herbal remedy that contains what are pretty mild ingredients - lemon balm, valerian root, and a couple others. So it shouldn't do any harm, and it may help. Certainly worth a try. These ingredients are known to help reduce circulating levels of "stress chemicals" like adrenaline, and so help reduce the body's response to anxiety provoking issues. It seems they could help, but I doubt that this alone would be enough, it this is a persistent problem.

I think the most important thing for you is to

GET SUPPORT PLEASE.

If you have family or friends you can confide in and who will help you, that's the best. If not, then there are many support groups online, as well as information sites. I have listed a couple below.

It seems that you will benefit the most by having an outlet to discuss in more detail the nature of your symptoms, and learn more about the triggers and causes, and then put together a complete treatment strategy that is unique for you - that includes medications, if appropriate, but also may include such things as: counseling, modifying behavior patterns, meditation, and lifestyle and dietary changes.

There are different types of adhd and of anxiety, and a program that addresses your own specific needs, such as working on reducing anger, etc. will almost certinly be best.

You are important, and there are resources out there - you're not alone.

Good luck.
