What does it feel like to drown?!

I have drowned before ill tell you how it feels... When I drowned it made me panic under water when I couldnt breath then I started to breath in the water and I could hear it flowing through my lungs and out my lungs then it just became very peacefull and I fell asleep then I woke up coughing up water and puking water on the side of the pool

This is a true storie it happened when I was in 5th grade

It's supposed to be painful as all hell. You hold your breath for as long as you can and when you're at the point of passing out because of lack of oxygen, your body natural will gasp for air. You inhale and swallow at the same time causing your lungs to fill up with water. There's tearing and all sorts of problems. It takes about 1-2 minutes after swallowing to die.
