Can you be registered with two doctors at once (UK)?!?!

Question: Can you be registered with two doctors at once (UK)?!?
I live 60 miles away from my doctor during the week while at college but I go home most weekends and will be back for months in the summer and then down here again next year. What I am saying is that my time is split between the two places. My problem is that I need to see a doctor but the waiting list at my doctors at home is about 2 weeks which is no use. I can get an 'emergency' appointment - like if somebody has cancelled but I live over an hours drive away so it is no good for me when I am at college. They also dont offer this service at the weekend. Just wondering if anybody knows if I can be registered at two doctors at the same time or at least just go to a local one when at college but still stay registered with the one near my parents house. Sorry for rambling but I need to know the answer!! Thanks

You can currently only be registered with one GP at a time, however you can see the other as a temporary resident.

GP for more years than I care to remember

You can register as a temporary patient at your college doctor and stay registered as a patient in your parents' practice. However if you spend more time at college it would make more sense to do it the other way round. Register with a doctor near college and then see a doctor at home temporarily if needs be.

Past experience.

you used to be able to. When I was at college I did just that. Ild join the one at college, your old doctor won't turn you away if you need him in a hurry.

no you can not.if you at collage 3months or over then that the dr you register with.or visa versa
