Thyroid medication ruined my hormones?!

Question: Thyroid medication ruined my hormones?
After about 35 days of taking medication (I dont even know why I had to take Levothyroxine, since I had very very minimal hypothyroidism due to me not taking any iodine, at all (vegan, no salt). After those 35-37 days, acne just sprang up all over my forehead, back and chest, my hair fell out (half of it).
So now, my back acne is gradually going away, along with my chest, and my hair is definitely starting to grow back, but my acne on forehead is not going away? Wth?

Tips? Thanks :)

You did not say what your TSH levels were/are. Normal is .3 - 3. From all I have read, the medication itself would NOT ruin 'hormones'. It may just be that these symptoms are just happening to occur now AFTER starting the meds as they are common thyroid disorder symptoms.

Another thing, if not checked already, ask doctors to check for Antibodies. INSIST!

I see:
"My daughter took Levothyroxine for a slow metabolism for a while. She had to stop because she gained so much weight. " NEVER HEARD THAT ONE...SUPPOSED TO BE THE OPPOSITE!

thyroid disease

My daughter took Levothyroxine for a slow metabolism for a while. She had to stop because she gained so much weight. When she stopped, she lost weight really fast. She did not have the acne issues, nor did her hair fall out, but did seem to have other problems. She says she will never take thyroid medication again. I'm so sorry for your problems, are you still taking this medication? Oh, another thing, never, never, never take the generic form of this drug. Its effectiveness is much different from the real thing.
