sick with a fever...will it stay down?!

Question: Sick with a fever...will it stay down?
sore throat, cough, this morning i had a fever of 101.1 but took some tylenol and that reduced my fever back to normal...will my fever go back up or stay down?

Answers:

It will most likely go back up when the Tylenol wears off. It's important to remember that fever is not a "bad" or "dangerous" thing - it's simply your body's natural and normal response to illness.

Fevers can, however, make you feel awful! They can cause increased fatigue, headache, body aches, nausea, and chills. Therefore, you may feel better if you treat it with Tylenol (or Motrin - both will work for fever and pain) taken in an appropriate dose at appropriate intervals throughout the day Follow the package directions or recommendations from your doctor on this.

And don't forget to rest and drink plenty of fluids. One of the "helpful" things fever does is slow people down by making them feel so sick they have no choice but to rest! Fever is normal, but it's also a sign that your body is fighting an illness and NEEDS rest. And even a mild fever like yours will also increase your body's fluid requirements, so have some water, or juice, or chicken soup!

Hope you feel better soon!

you gotta see a doctor if it stays high or get worse, and by taking the right medicines you'll get well soon :)
