Is cracking your fingers reversible (the effects)?!

Question: Is cracking your fingers reversible (the effects)?
I am 17 and I have noticed my fingers are swelling up near the finger joints because I crack them so much. If I stop cracking them now, will they go back to normal? I'd like to play my guitar well again

Answers:

They will recover up to a certain point depending on the level of damage that you have done. Promise to NEVER crack them and hope for the best. Don't be a crack head.
