how to get rid off lactic acid/heavy leg feeling?!

Question: How to get rid off lactic acid/heavy leg feeling?
I have a hockey game in 2 hours and my legs feel really tired(heavy) how can i fix this?

Answers:

It's not always about lactic acid, a lot of soreness comes from tearing tiny fiber types located in the legs. I checked for solutions and most of them said something along the lines of just reducing the length or stress you inflict during exercise, also cut out fats.

You should also look into alternative exercise routines that still work the legs, AudioFitness.com provides a Leg Strength training workout, pretty basic but it's all about lunges and squats. They strengthen and improve your legs, I'd also check out the cardio circuit (pylometrics) for agility/endurance.

Try doing some activities that don't require too much energy like riding a bike or going for a walk. After your game today, make sure to eat a banana. It works wonderfully to keep lactic acid from building up.

Massage, lots of water, and easy slow stretching-- before AND after the game!
