How do doctors drug test?!

Question: How do doctors drug test?
I am applying for a job, and one of the conditions is passing a drug test. I have no doubts that I'll pass, but I was wondering how they drug test? Is it just a urine test or is it a blood test (I HATE needles).

If it helps I am applying to become an EMT

Answers:

They have you go in a bathroom, pee in a cup and hand it to a nurse who will inspect it for tampering, and check temperature(It will be warmer than room temperature.)The nurse will then split the sample into two containers, seal the lids and have you sign the custody forms and witness the procedure. It's sent to a lab with a robotic chemical analyzer,it will check for alcohol, and most known drugs. It's important to let them know if you are taking any meds including over the counter as many cold remedies contain Alcohol or Narcotics

Any person driving for Hire;Pilots,Ship Captains,Railroad Engineers, and Truck Drivers are required to be tested for anything that will impair their thinking. One engineer on Pot killed half an Amtrak train in Maryland after smoking several joints and ignoring 3 different stop signals.I got a truck driving license in 1996.

A lot of companies are going for saliva tests also. Basically they swab your mouth and that's it:)

They take a sample of your urine.

There are no needles you pee in a cup
