He would likely put you on an iron supplement and talk to you about your diet.

Would put you on iron supplement. You need to watch your iron level because if it's low it's dangerous.
You can naturally increase iron level. When I had very low iron I ate salmon (smoked, cooked and etc. doesn't matter) every day for few weeks. Also beetroot, beef meet helps to increase naturally.
But If you feel that it can be low, I would recommend at first to talk to doctor.

Put you on iron supplement or pills in increase your level of iron, They would then advise you to eat more food with iron in them, such as beef or turkey. Some gross but very high in iron foods are:
Clams
Pork Liver
Oysters
Chicken Liver
Mussels
Beef Liver
Blech!!

Be sure that doctor tests you though, don't just do it on your own just because you feel tired or something. You don't want to take any too much iron if you don't need it.

Personal Experience

Most likely give iron supplements and discuss a high iron diet and anemia

I'm anemic.

use Iron tablets and green vegetables.

injection then iron tablets

Tell you your anemic and put you on medication

You would be given Iron tablets as I have had.
