What sickness do I have? Help!?!

Question: What sickness do I have? Help!?
Hi,

I've been sick for almost a week now, its been 4 days. I missed 4 days school, this all started on Sunday though.

- Nausea
- Headache (Its gone now, minor for only one day)
- Minor Dizziness (For one day)
- Bubbling feeling in stomach
- Sleepiness (One day)
- Diarrhea (JUST started, and its watery, and goes up to around 4 minutes ;s)
- Diarrhea when pass gas (Don't laugh, it isn't funny ;( )
- Coughing
- Coughing up Phlegm
- Fever (Lasted One Day)

I think i'm dehydrated, but my mom doesn't think I am (shes a nurse.) But then again, I was dehydrated this summer, and I feel exactly how I was then. I'm taking BENYLIN, and so far it got rid of my sore throat, coughing, and coughing up phlegm, but the rest is still here, other then the sleepiness which I seemed to have slept off.

No one here can diagnose you. It sounds as if you may have some sort of viral illness, but only a licensed health care provider can diagnose and only with a "hands on" exam and possibly some testing.

If you are suffering from diarrhea, you need to make sure you stay well hydrated, but drink clear liquids only for 24 hours. Any solids you ingest will just give whatever bug you have more ammo to continue the diarrhea. Examples of clear liquids are water, broth, bouillon, jello (without fruit), popsicles, gatorade, pedialyte...any liquid you can see through when it is at room temperature.

If the diarrhea goes away after staying on clear liquids for 24 hours, you can add bananas, rice, applesauce and plain toast to your diet, along with the clear liquids. If ok after that time, you can up to a soft diet, but you should avoid dairy products and spicy and/or greasy foods for a few more days.

If the diarrhea persists in spite of ingesting clear liquids only, and it is severe, you do need medical attention as you can become seriously dehydrated. That is considered a medical emergency.

aww, it just sounds like you have a really bad case of the flu. some people are unlucky enough to get EVERY symptom with it. just keep resting, drink lots of fluids and try the BRAT diet to help with the diarrhea (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast)

feel better! <3
