Do these sound like OCD symptoms to you?!

Question: Do these sound like OCD symptoms to you?
In school I have to have my mp3 player and USB in my right pocket and my house keys in my left. If they are in the wrong pockets I have to swap them otherwise I feel anxious.

Whenever a day goes by by where I haven't done any school work (typically weekends where I have no homework) I feel both guilty and lazy for not doing any extra work I have given myself to do.

When I like a TV program I watch it obsessively and sometimes I stop eating and drinking properly when watching. If I happen to have school that day I think about that specific TV program all day. I also play video games that I enjoy excessively and I will play them for hours and hours without any breaks.

I constantly want feedback on my schoolwork from teachers even if I know that I have done remarkably well, I still want to be told how great it is, how smart I am and how many corrections I have to make so that I can feel proud of myself excessively.

I often have a 'word of the day' where I use a certain word repetitively all day in conversations, online, etc. Then, the next day I may use a completely different word excessively.

If this doesn't sound like OCD could anyone refer me to a specific anxiety disorder or a set of them so that I can self-diagnose myself. I will be going to a doctor soon about this but could someone please help me beforehand? Thank you.

Answers:

it sounds like OCD but may also have something to do with insecurity, it seems you need constant reassurance and resort to comforting behaviour (watching familiar tele, playing games excessively because they help you escape). you are probably anxious about your future, and worrying about your habits is going to make you feel worse. little habits like having a word of the day or having keys in a certain pocket are not henious crimes, it isnt going to ruin your life so arent issues to worry about if they help you feel better.
try excersing, just walking. talking, even if its just to pets will help, but dont talk online too much or it might make you feel worse since its just staring at words not actually getting stuff off your chest. do you avoid going out to see your friends or to parties? maybe you have some social anxiety too, so just do small things like meeting up with just one or two friends for a few hours knowing you have to go home at a certain time for dinner so you neednt worry about not getting your work done.
