Honey with lemon, the water must be at room temperature, not cold/hot.

tummy - believe it or not. Gatorade. Yes, it works.

and just drink soup for dinner, salad, or maybe take some vitamins.

get well soon!

If you are that sick, you best spend the time in bed.
The common cold is not so common as there are several thousand varieties of the same germ(so the medical community says) and they have been bleeding us for years with symptom reducers. The bug is still there. You would be a real friend by not attending because you are contagious and you will make everyone sick.
Best remedies? I pull out a pot and put in 2 cups of water and put it on the stove and turn on the heat so it boils. Then you get some raw chicken meat with bones(necks and backs) and toss that into the boiling water and turn the heat down to medium high . Toss in a small handful of rice and a small handful of vegetables(I use frozen veges) and let that continue to boil or simmer really hot.. When the chicken flesh comes off the bones with a fork easily as you poke around in the pot, she is about done. You might want to toss in some salt and spices just for additional flavor. I experiment everytime. You want the rice to swell up and that is gonna take a half hour. But while standing over the pot, you will notice that you can breathe again.
It is in the chicken bone marrow. It is super cheap to make(chicken necks and backs sell like for peanuts and you only need a handful of it.(maybe 3 necks and 3 backs) and you will be good for maybe 6 hours after you have lunch of that soup you just made.
Forget the canned or packaged chicken soup - I think if the chicken walked through the water, it justifies them calling it chicken soup. In other words, nothing is in it except salt.

The squeezed lemons with a cinammon stick in hot water to make a nice hot tea.

This sucker is going to be with you for a week.

Old wives saying is "feed a cold- starve a fever" which means you eat to keep up your strength.

The chicken will outdo any meds they got on the shelf.

I always keep some handy in the freezer door. Just in case.
