Answers:

Do NOT think of this as a two week diet. Consider this a life change. If you think this way, you will not bounce back to your current weight in a month. DO NOT try to starve yourself with just one meal a day. Your body will automatically go into conservation mode and reserve fat for the siege.

Start with breakfast. Do not skip. Oatmeal, scrambled eggs, yogurt, something. Take an apple to work with you to snack on at break. Have a cottage cheese and fruit salad for lunch. Have a bunch of grapes for afternoon break. For dinner, open up a bag of fresh salad fixins, cut up a small tomato onto it, and drown it in Wishbone Italian NO FAT salad dressing. Munch on that while you broil or pan fry a chicken breast. Nuke some frozen veggies (3/4 cup should be enough) with a sprinkling of salt and covered with plastic wrap. Have a cup of fruit flavored yogurt.

Somewhere between work and home, go to the gym and work up a sweat. Every day. DRINK WATER. Even if you don't think you are thirsty. Eight a day.

Start a diary and record every bite of food and drink you pop into your mouth every day. Record calories, fat, carbohydrate, and how much aerobic exercise you did. It really helps when you have to write down everything. It forces you to think, "Do I want to eat this? I will be ashamed when I look back next week and see that I cheated"

Forgive yourself when you just have to have that cookie someone gave you. Record it in your diary, and work harder on your exercise.

Drink water when you crave something or feel hungry.

Don't bother with MRE's or liquid diets. You will get more calories than you need. Keep it down around 1200 per day.

Good luck

Sorry, you asked about how to stop overeating. The best you can do is know your portions. How much is a tablespoon, a half cup, a quarter pound. Scoop out foods into a bowl or plate rather than eating straight from the can or jar or storage container. Eating your three to five small 'meals' each day will help contain your appetite so you aren't tempted to over-eat. Having a regular exercise program will also decrease your appetite. Drink a glass of water before you eat.

Yo-yo dieter for years til I started working out too. Finally lost that sixty pounds.
