I used to be really pale as a child and i'm not anymore?!

Question: I used to be really pale as a child and i'm not anymore?
I used to be super pale when i was a baby, with almost black hair. Obviously as you get older and you are exposed more to the sun, you start to get tanner (especially because i live in a really hot and sunny area) but i have some friends that were actually tanner than i was when they were baby's, and they really haven't gotten that much tanner. Is it just my skin that tans so easily? Also is there any way to get back the original color i had when i was a child? I don't really get tan in some areas like in my cheeks i don't get tan i usually get horrible sunburned there, and my shoulders too sometimes, as well as my nose, and forehead, but i'm still kind of dark?

The general tone of your skin depends on the amount of melanocytes (pigment cells) that your skin contains. How much you have depends on your genetics, so it's possible that this number changed as you matured. There's really no way that you can change your skin tone back to how it used to be. Being paler would mean that you would sunburn even more easily anyway, as melanin protects against UV rays.

well it depends... if u hang out in the sun alot then its because of the sun... but i dont think there's a way for getting your original color
