Question: If you take a pill but it gets stuck in the throat, is that dangerous?
A normal size paracetamol pill, taken by somebody who most probably has a normal flu virus.

Many medications can burn or damage your throat is they are left to dissolve up against the lining.

But if that was the case you would be gagging and coughing a lot. It would not be comfortable and your body would be trying to either bring it up, or get it down.

Just drink two or three glasses of water..it will dislodge it.



It can be harmful for the tissue in the persons throat. If you try a bunch of things to get it out and it won't come out I suggest calling the persons doctor or a local hospital and ask what you should do and maybe take them to the E.R. It happened to me once and I had to stick my finger down my throat and vomit to get it out because the pill started to make my throat burn
