Is there a medical condition where someone eats plastic?!

Question: Is there a medical condition where someone eats plastic?
Whenever I have a water bottle with a softish kinda plastic cap I always pop it into my mouth and chew on it and then when it's chewed up I use my teeth and saw/bite off little pieces or strips that I bite of little pieces of. And I do it ALL the time. It can be the caps or the tip of a plastic pen or a clean comb I'll break off one thing at a time and eat it? I've looked up Pika or Pica Idk how to spell it and I haven't seen anything about plastic. Can plastic be harmful in my body? I never swallow big pieces. Thanks

It may not be Pica. Some people just like having things in their mouth. It's the reason smokers gain weight when they try to quit...they're so used to having something in their mouth. Some people bite their nails, chew gum, smoke. It is bad for you and bad for your teeth. Your body can't process that kind of stuff properly. You should made a conscious effort to quit (try chewing gum instead) or talk to your doctor and see if there's anything that can be done to help.

dont swallow any pieces of it, theres chemicals in the plastic that could possibly make you sick and kill you for one ,and second, your stomach has a hard time digesting things like plastic. foreign (spelling?) objects basically, can clog your intestines, and again, possibly kill you.

i wouldnt advise carrying this on.

Yap its Pica you can crave/eat anything with pica! You need to see a doctor and STOP eating it! IT IS VERY DANGEROUS!
