What to do with Doctor's prescription?!

Question: What to do with Doctor's prescription?
Now, this may sound dumb, but here goes. I have just been given a written prescription from my Doctor. What do I do with it? I assume I hand it in at a chemist, but I've never done this kind of thing before so I'm not really sure.

Just hand it in to any chemist.

GP for more years than I care to remember

The prescription is for you to order medicine. In order to get your medicine you must have a prescription as you have, written by your Doctor, you take it to the pharmacy and have it filled at the drug counter. The druggist will keep the prescription. Check the prescription and see how many times you can have it filled. If it is more than one time each time you can call and order your medicine giving them the number on your prescription bottle.

Just take it to the pharmacy. They usually have a "drop off" section. They will tell you about how long it will take. If you are using an insurance card, then let them know. If not, they'll probably assume you're paying out-of-pocket (unless they ask). You pay for it when you pick it up.

Yes just go to your local chemist or if you have a chemist in your local supermarket, they usually ask to double check where you live, and then tell you roughly how long you got to wait, generally you might hang around five minutes.

Just take it into the chemist ,and you might have to wait a few minutes for your medication, its a simple as that x
