Nursing NCLEX "unofficial" results?!

Question: Nursing NCLEX "unofficial" results?
This is going to be a hard question to answer because probably only nurses will know this:

I took the NCLEX test for nursing two days ago and I went to their website, where they had a "quick results" option you could choose to get some results early. In mine under the test I scheduled, it says "Status: Pass" so I'm assuming that mean I passed. However, there is a disclaimer saying the results are "not official." I'm wondering does that mean that I did not "necessarily" pass until they officialize the results? I looked up and down the website and called their customer support and they couldn't give me a clear answer.

I am a Nurse - albeit in the UK - but I still don't know the answer to your question. However I can make a reasonable stab at what it means. I had a similar situation with my CBT Diploma. It basically means that you have passed but because it has not been through the whole official procedure and the information is from the administrators office, at this stage it cannot be verified. It is theorectically possible that they could make an error and therefore need to cover themselves. It is also possible that it may be awaiting a second or third examiner to check the fairness of the marking. I am only speculating fom my own experience but does that make any sense?
