As an 18 year old, can I use my parents' insurance without their permission!

Question: As an 18 year old, can I use my parents' insurance without their permission?
I was diagnosed with a mental disorder last year, but my mom wouldn't allow me to take medications. I want to go to the doctor without her knowledge and get a prescription, but is that legal since I'd be using my parents' insurance?

Answers:

You are really getting sick lately don't you.Check with your parents as they are real best person to tell whats the right for you. grow up a little. You can always choose cucumber for help.

You can't use your PARENTS insurance. What you mean is.... Your parents have insurance through (work, personal, ect) and bought you a policy which makes it your insurance. Here's the deal. You can probably get away with making a appointment without parents knowing. However the second you go to the appointment their insurance will be billed and your parents will be notified that you were there. If you somehow out smart that... They most likely aren't just offering you the insurance card (which the doctors office verifies before they even see you) so your stuck. There's about 10 other things that could stop you. But I'm with your parents on this. If you don't like it go get your own insurance so you won't have to argue with them.

county hospital has very affordable programs for people with NO insurance. the cost is determined by your income.
they don't always give you the meds you want.
