Question: What causes pain around old surgery scars?
I had surgery almost 23 years ago (as a baby) that left me with a large horizontal scar all the way across my abdomen. Every now and then I have pain around the area where the scar is. Is this normal and what causes it? It's very infrequent, maybe once or twice a year at most.

Depending on how infrequent and how severe you might want to look into this with the doc. Could be many things most of them benign but doesn't hurt to check.
