When can I start donating Blood?!
Question: When can I start donating Blood?
I used to donate blood every 8-10 weeks. I had to stop about 8 years ago when I had some health problems. The problems have all been taken care of now. The final one was prostate cancer. I had surgery in September. My PSA is now zero. When can I start donating blood? I don't want to drive out to the Red Cross Blood Center and then be turned down because I had cancer in the past.
Answers:
You should be able to give blood now- the red cross website says that if it's been a year since your treatment has ended, you're allowed to give blood (unless you had lymphoma or leukemia). You can look up your other health conditions on their website here:
