I hardly have to pee, cause?!

Question: I hardly have to pee, cause?
I, on an average day, drink 3-4 bottles (around 2 liters) of water alone, and drink other things during the day. Sometimes, after I wake up at 7am, I won't have to pee until 2pm. I normally pee 2-3 times a day. Is this bad? I only exercise once a day for 30 mins, which is only brisk walking so I don't sweat too much (and I do this at night time).
I don't have a medical condition that I am aware of, no one else in my family is like this.
What could be the cause? Or do I just have a good bladder? Will not peeing from 7am until 2 be bad for me?

Answers:

If theres no burning sensation during urination there is nothing to worry about. The only extreme cause of no urination would be a kidney stone and it will cause extreme pain.

To be honest, I don't think it matters on how many times you urinate per day. Unless your urinating about more than 6-8 quarts per day than you should be fine, most average people will typically urinate about 2-3 cups every couple hours or so. Other than that, I think your fine as long as your urinate isn't very concentrated (yellow/darker) than you are getting plenty of water into your diet.

Also, whats your diet consist of? Do you consume a lot of sodium? Lots of products today contain sodium and this element will retain water.

You should go pee every few hours. It's not really good to hold in pee for that long. For one, if the bladder is stretched, the muscles weaken and in the long run may lead to your bladder leaking on certain occasions, like when you laugh or sneeze. And two, the longer the urine is in your bladder, the more time bacteria has to grow which may cause UTI's.

its becuase you drink and eat healthly for example if you had a takeway and a pepsi you whould need the toilet because your body is removing waste but since all the food and drink you having is good your body whould rather keep the goodness then get rid of it.

I barely pee either. Good bladder.

sounds like a good bladder.

Well, not urinating OFTEN is not always a problem if you're keeping your fluids up like that. The question is, when you do urinate, is the VOLUME/AMOUNT of urine a good amount? If you're NOT urinating OFTEN plus you have a LOW amount/volume when you urinate, then I would worry.

If you drink that much and only go 2-3 times daily and only see a little bit of it coming out, I'd go to the Dr. because you could have urinary retention and it will have a negative effect on your kidneys.

If you drink that much and each of the 2-3 times you urinate there is a lot of urine coming out, then you have a high-capacity bladder and I wouldn't worry too much. :)
