Basically what do they do when they do an x-ray of your spine?!

Question: Basically what do they do when they do an x-ray of your spine?
I've never had an x-ray before, so whats it like when they take one on your spine? do you have to put one of those paper gowns on or can you keep your clothes on?

There are different parts of the spine, so it depends on which one. Cervical spine is the first 7 vertibrae in your neck; thoracic spine is the next 12 vertibrae; and lumbar spine is the last 5 vertibrae in your lower back. Then there is the sacrum and coccyx (tailbone). You're probably talking about thoracic and/or lumbar. You would remove your bra or wear a sports bra, remove jeans or wear elastic pants. You may have to wear a gown which is usually cotton, not paper, but it depends on the policy of the place you're going. If you wear a plain cotton shirt, sports bra, and elastic pants without zipper and button, you may not have to change at all.

it's my job

I've always worn sports bras when I've gotten mine done, so if your a girl and you're worried about that- they've always let me just wear sweatpants, a tshirt and a sports bra. If you wear ANY metal they might ask you to wear a gown. If you're a girl they put this lead thing around your abdomen and they might even put you in a lead vest. They'll probably take it at different angles, too. It doesn't hurt and it's pretty quick. :)

you will likely have to wear a gown, because any metal on your clothes, bra will show up on the image. you dont feel anything.

They take a pus and stick in it your sigmoid colon

I had to take my top off wear a gown and leave ny trousers on, lay flat on my front and was done in minutes
