Marijuana and psychosis?!

Question: Marijuana and psychosis?
I wanna start by saying that the whole psychosis thing is clearly exaggerated and I have never known a single pot smoker who has developed a psychosis. My question is though, if it does cause psychosis, is there any actual theory as to how it does this to the brain? All I hear is "weed is bad for your brain" and "you'll get a psychosis" yet no one ever seems to be able to tell me HOW it does so. I refuse to believe this bullsh*t if no one can even tell me how it does so in the brain. And I'm not talking about short term psychosis (the way it affects the brain when a person is under the influence of marijuana), I mean an ACTUAL psychosis. Thanks for any help.

Marijuana does not cause psychosis . I used to be a drug counselor . Nobody sees a drug counselor because they have problems with marijuana . If you smoke marijuana and are having psychotic episodes you need a psychiatrist because you are suffering from other issues .

It does not cause psychosis that is ridiculous. And it is only considered a hallucinogen because it does not fit into any drug category (because its not a drug in my opinion). I have never met anyone who smokes pot and has psychosis or anyone who has ever hallucinated from pot. Both are just ridiculous scare tactics with no evidence.
