Question: Blood in mucus??? help?
Coughed up blood in my mucus this morning when i first woke up a few times but after that its been clear and my throat has been sore and ive lost my voice and have had bronchitis what could this be ive been coughing how come its only when i first wake up then stops oh and it was bright red but hasn't done it since its been clear

It can me a number of things:
# Blood clot in the lung
# Bronchiectasis
# Bronchitis
# Cancer
# Cystic fibrosis
# Goodpasture syndrome
# Inflammation of the blood vessels in the lung (vasculitis)
# Inhaling blood into the lungs (pulmonary aspiration)
# Irritation of the throat from violent coughing
I'm thinking that it's the irritation of the throat from you coughing.
