Is my cartilage infected ?!

Question: Is my cartilage infected ?
I got my cartilge pierced 6-7 weeks ago, not with a gun, but my friend pierced it. It healed nicely, but a couple days ago i took out the earring and I noticed a bump on the back. I clean the piercing 2 times a day with sea salt soaks. The bump isn't red, its a little swollen, it only hurts a little when i touch it, but white puss comes out of it every time i take the piercing out. Is it infected ? What can I do ?

Answers:

A bump is completely normal, it will go soon, its just because you had it pierced a little while ago.
Getting a friend to do it was wrong, it is not as sterile and proper as an actual professional.
The pus is a sign of infection. Take the cartilage out, treat it with anti bacterial spray or cream, wait a couple hours and put it back in again. It should be fine. If the infection does not get any better, then take the piercing out completely, keep on treating until it heals and pierce it again a few months later. Only get it done instead of getting a friend to do it.

Its infected. Theres over the counter onitments and leave your ear uncovered.
