Question: Do people who are have Asberger's usually live to the average age of death?
Answers:
There are no statistics for people with Asperger's who die of natural causes. Suicide, however is at higher rate for them. They tend to have low levels of dopamine (pleasure hormone). 56% of them suffer from depression, 32% mental illness and are more often single due to their lack of social ability. 0.32% of those people w/ Asperger's commit suicide compared to the general population of people, 0.01%. Personally, I'd assume they do live less long because when they don't commit suicide because they still have higher rates of stress than neurotypicals stress really does age people in the long term. They also have many sensory issues, which include things like not wanting to eat unfamiliar foods. Many people w/ Asperger's won't try new foods even as adults, which leads to a less varied diet which would essentially lower nutrition levels and make one live a shorter life.
