Can you develop a stutter?!

Question: Can you develop a stutter?
I've never been much of a speaker in social situations, but lately, even when I'm completely comfortable, like with my boyfriend at home, I start stuttering, or I have trouble pronouncing even the easiest of words.
What could this be?

Yes, I had several uncles who stuttered; one of them didn't stutter much as a child, but it suddenly appeared later in his life.Try these resources:

Yeah, I've developed one. It's not social anxiety either. Like you when I'm totally comfortable or relaxed I still stutter.

Yes you can...I developed a stutter when I was 14, and I still stutter...
