Should I be worried about getting sick for holding a dead mouse?!

Question: Should I be worried about getting sick for holding a dead mouse?
Will I get sick or something?

I saw a small dead mouse in the garage. It died hours ago. There was little smell. I held it with a tissue from the tail. Now I'm scared that I might catch some disease or something. I washed my hands thoroughly and twice.

Answers:

Please move on with your life, you will be fine. Mice can carry disease; however, short exposure time with a barrier of a tissue will bring your risk to pretty much 0%. How did the mouse die? This is another factor to consider. In almost all cases you will be fine, worry more about the dangers of driving, STDs, and the unexpected. Especially after only a few hours, you could probably eat the mouse with no ill effects. And you even washed your hands! DO NOT WORRY

No, don't worry about it. First, you used a tissue. Second, you washed your hands. The chances of catching some disease from the thing are very, very slim.

You should be fine but if you get a rash or it starts to itch or something just dosnt feel right then get it checked out

Well you should be okay because you used a tissue and all. So i wouldn't worry.

No chance of getting ill from this.
