What problems can Ulcerative Colitis cause later in life?!

Question: What problems can Ulcerative Colitis cause later in life?
I had UC as a young man, but have since had my colon removed. I am now developing some sort of joint pain/problem. I am wondering if the two things are related due to an autoimmune link.

Since Ulcerative Colitis is an autoimmune disease, it may cause complications in other parts of your body. I'd recommend visiting a doctor, as the joint pain/problem may be unrelated (e.g. arthritis). If you want to learn more about UC, I've attached a resource that may help you find the answer you're looking for.

I currently have UC, and am developing atheritis. Most UCers, do develop this because of the meds of the lack of nutrients from having UC. Also, people that suffer from UC do have problems with their immune system, again because the nutrients that you intake cannot be absorbed.
Talk with your doctor!

Diagnosed at 17.

no, not likely.
but if you have a history of 1autoimmune disease, you are much more likely to develop others. also meds can have side effects.
obviously, talk it over with your doc.
