Why do hearing aid battery makers?!

Question: Why do hearing aid battery makers?
Besides wanting to sell more batteries, why do they not fully charge hearing aid batteries?
Before replacing batteries, I check them on a multitester, and they are just barely in the chagre zone.
I have tried several brands, and they are all like that.

Hearing aid batteries are "air activated zinc" batteries, meaning that once you take the sticker off the back of them they are activated and begin to drain. Even if you don't use them, once it is activated it will die in about 2-3 weeks. To ensure that your batteries have the longest life possible do not remove the sticker until you are ready to use. Also, make sure you open the battery door of the hearing aid before you go to sleep at night. This will prevent any further pull on your battery and will also extend the life of your hearing aid by letting it dry out over night when not in use. Also, the new "mercury free" environmentally friendly batteries do not last as long as the mercury ones. Batteries come with an expiration date, so be sure and observe the date, and sometimes you just get a "bad" pack. If none of the above help extend your battery life you may need to look at your hearing aid. A battery should last you 7-10 days depending on how long you use your HA's each day, but damaged or poorly made devices may drain them faster than that. Good luck :)

Maybe they run out faster since you use them all the time? I wouldn't know because i don't have hearing aids. My mom has to wear them to work (even though she doesn't need them). I could ask her for you see what she says.
