How to stop a very bad habit?!


Question: How to stop a very bad habit?
I have smoked for about eight years now, give or take the few months I quit smoking. I feel like I have tried every nicotine replacement method out there, even really expensive pills. The pills worked but I picked it right back up a few months later. I really wish I never picked it up and I see more pros than cons in quitting the habit. I am nervous to quit again because if I decide to I will have to go all natural or cold turkey! Could you guys please give me some tips or share your quitting smoking stories, I would really appreciate it thank you! :D

People who successfully quit smoking suddenly reach a point in their life when the comfort and safety and secure feelings they get from smoking become meaningless and disgusting to them.

Changing your environment, getting better friends, healthier friends, better standards, these all make the transition easier.

If you believe that by smoking you are passing life by as you should be living it, and you let that thought take over, that you are losing potential, you may start to get motivation to really quit this time.

When you start imagining a brighter future where you don't have to smoke for comfort and sometimes else is truly more meaningful to you than the smoke, you should be ready.

I'm not saying it's easy, it's just that smoking is very meaningful to people that do it. Obviously, and they aren't ready to give up that comfort and that feeling.



i know a few people that took chantix and it worked. i had tried quitting so many times and it never worked, i hated the idea of spending the money, but it never stopped me. several months ago i got pregnant, and that finally made me quit.
