Answers:

If the chest pain is like heartburn, you may have a hiatal hernia. The diaphragm separates the chest cavity from the abdominal cavity. In the center of the diaphragm is a small opening near where the lower valve of the esophagus opens and closes. The valve can become relaxed and leak stomach acid into your esophagus. A portion of the stomach can slid down into the opening causing pressure and pain. A Gastroenterologist can perform a procedure called Endoscopy in which he/she looks into your esophagus and stomach for damage. Reflux is the name of cause that stomach acid backs up in your esophagus. The doctor can also do procedures called an Upper GI Series that may include endoscopy or X-raying the area and perform a swallow- test to view if there is an obstruction. The gallbladder lies below the stomach and can cause pain and may be diagnosed as your problem. Do not rule out an ulcer. Gastritis and ulcers can be caused by a bacteria that burys in your stomach lining and waits. Pain relievers(Aleve, Advil, Motrin)can burn the stomach lining if a glass of liquid is not drunk after ingesting the pills. The stomach lining is burned and when you eat, stomach-acid pumps turn on to digest food and attack the weak spot on your stomach lining.

Your symptom appears to be with your digestive system, but it could be something different. Assuming your problem is digestive, the federal government has an excellent website that lists digestive disorders/diseases from A to Z. Go to http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov. Scroll to hiatal hernia, gallbladder, gastritis, ulcer and read about the mentioned data.

Good luck.

Go to the hospital and tell them that you are having chest pains....and "don't" leave untill they find out why and give you medicine. ( this will make the hospital liable ) and they "will" find out what is going on.

3 Heart Attacks.

get another doctors opinion, could be anxiety or stress.
