To get my extra bone removed or not?!

Question: To get my extra bone removed or not?
I know it's more of my opinion to get it removed, I am just kind of wondering what the process is. Since I was a baby, I've had an extra bone on my left hand, on my thumb. It hasn't really grown but sometimes it bothers me since really no one else has it... Then again it makes me unique but it bothers me! At the moment, it's in pain because some big guy sat on it and possibly broke some little bones but that has nothing to do with it, lol.

Any of you had bones surgically removed? The name of my condition is "Austio...." something. Maybe Austicondrosis (no idea how to spell it) and the only part I know how to pronounce is "Au-Stee-Oh"

I have another one on my leg, like below my knee but it doesn't hurt and doesn't even show so I'm fine keeping that one. It used to effect me but I've grown so yeah it doesn't anymore.

Tips or things about getting a bone removed would be helpful!

First is anything is causing you any discomfort you should visit your Doctor and get things checked out.Secondly in the info you give its seems like you should get the one on your thumb removed because its causes you some pain but if you want keep your uniqueness keep the one on your leg.I cant really give you an answer only you can, but just remember your health comes first above anything else.

When I was younger I got crashed my bike into a car my right arm took all the force and I needed a bone graft.During that time was the worst because I felt extreme pain everyday with physical therapy.
I know its not a tip ,but i just thought i share a random story relating to bonesXD.

If it doesn't bother you or even show, why carry a scar from surgery, that probably would? :)
