i hate it when that happens. stab the paper where the question is, and maybe they'll understand.
Legally you don't have to answer that question, just saying. If you feel like it is necessary for whatever paperwork you're doing, choose the one you prefer. It shouldn't matter for most things but medical paperwork what your gender is anyway. And then hopefully it's known that you're "different" (for lack of a better word).
They can't legally obligate you to answer. I don't answer any of it because I'm a double minority and I don't want to be judged by it. Just skip if you really don't want to answer.
easy to answer this: when you are out in public and have to go to the POTTY, do you go to the MENS or LADIES room ? That is the answer you should put on the form. If that is not applicable, write in: UNI-GENDER or write BI-CURIOUS.
Put whichever you feel better defines you as a person (i.e. do you see yourslef as more of a guy or a girl?)
