Bit hole in inside lower lip?!

I love to chew the part in the front of my teeth- The lower part off to the side. I go so deep that is just bleeds and there's a hole there. Well there were two red bubble things inside to hole and I ripped them off with my teeth. Was that bad? I showed my mom and she freaked out! It looks bad and really painful. It doesn't hurt too much though, although it stings. It looks dark dark red all over and really gross. I think I bit too much. I know I need to stop biting, but for some reason I enjoy it. Can you help explain that? And those red bubble things- what were they are should I have bit them off?? Thanks!
