Should I get a nose job?!
Question: Should I get a nose job?
*My nose hurts alot ( 3 times a week) especially in the small little hump I have, and when I feel it it's a hard lump (duh it's the bone..maybe) It hurts like crazy!!
*I have never gotten a nose job. And I don't know what to do..there are risks, and I will be willing to take a nose job maybe when I'm like 25 or older, (which I think is a right age to get one, according to my parents)
*But, I feel like I'm hurting my family if I get one, I'm trying to be strong and do what's best for me, but I'm shy and that type of person who always says sorry,thanks for anything, and that nice stuff. *What would my parents think of me?
*Will they ever talk to me if I do a nose job?
*I know my parents, and they are over-protective religion freaks who won't let me go out with my friends alone, have a boyfriend until 18,(btw if I ever go out on a date when I'm 18 I have to go with one of my parents), not-leave-me-alone-in-a-doctors-waiting-… can't go on a field-trip out from our state, you get the idea.
*But I always try to be firm and make my own decisions, but then when I try to talk to them about it, my face gets red and I say "Never...mind" and go to my room.

Well, your parents, in a nutshell, are very overprotective. It sounds as though you are unhappy with your nose. Is it solely because it hurts or do you not like the way it looks? I had a rhinoplasty at about 32? It did wonders for my self-esteem. I see nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery if it makes YOU feel better about yourself. I can't imagine a parent who wouldn't be sympathetic to their child's self-esteem and/or pain. If you have trouble breathing, then you really have a medically legitimate reason for having the surgery. How could a parent NOT love their child if they had a nose job?? It's a simple procedure, and doesn't have anything to do with the love that should be between you. You make the decision that feels right to you, and I wish you the best. :)
