Answers:

At the age Of 13 I started to cut myself. Not bad enough to bring me to the hospital or get stitches but eventually that's what happened. Ages 14, 15 and 16 I was in and out of hospitals for attempting suicide by cutting.

Cutting went from just arms to legs to neck. Deeper and deeper. Eventually at the end if age 17 I was sent to the hospital multiple times to get stitches.

Nothing trulet helped me. I didn't care about the scars or pain afterwords or even the looks I got from society. So finally after almost 5 years I was so tired of the impulses and trips to the hospital, loss of friends and family and the looks. That one day I just threw everything out. And I mean everything.

Don't hide them, throw them away!

Some things that helped me was music, writing, distraction such as tv, computer... And finally elastic bands around the wrist.

They work. The sudden pinch of an elastic helps give off the same effect if cutting. If none if these help then seek counseling.

I'm 18 years old. No one can tell you or make you stop. You need to do it yourself. Resist as much as possible. Each day counts. Plan ahead instead of thinking behind.

I won't lie, I still have urges. I still look at razors and just want to. But I quickly tell myself no and walk away.

Gd luck!

Firstly if you are at this level you should seek professional help. However you are at a better stage than most if you are admitting this and trying to help yourself. Talk to your family and friends, humans are social creatures and need to interact with each other. Trust your family to help you through it, if they do something that annoys you tell them in an non-criticizing way how they can deal with these things so that you are able to open up to them more. Secondly friends are a great resource, however I feel family is a much more connected and beneficial relationship when it comes to talking through serious topics. Socialize with real people everyday, isolation and non-acceptance within a community are the biggest factors contributing to a low mental health. Conversation starters are "This band is great, how do you like them?" when a popular song comes on the radio, "That looks like a good read, what is that book about?" at a coffee shop or bookstore, just try to ask a open ended question while noticing the surroundings. Don't believe that humans have a purpose and that you are the only one without one, know that we make of life what we want, we are curious collaborators, the best way to enjoy life is to be apart of a community and contribute your part in helping a greater problem than your individual ones, to give towards the community's health.

i have had the same problem. my fiance used to cut too, then when we got engaged, we promised eachother never to do it again, now everytime i look at a razor blade, i want to do it so bad. but i know i will dissapoint the only one that cares about me. just find that one person you love so much. and promise him/her that you wont anymore. you may every here and there when you feel you have to. but you will feel so bad afterwards you wont anymore. the main thing keepin me from it though is all my teachers know i do it. and they randomly check my arms. and if they see any they send me to the counselor. (lets just say this year i have been in her office alot) but.. experiment and find whats best for you. so far the best ive found is sittin down alone, cutting on some music, cuttin the lights out. and just writing poems. get the feelings out on paper instead of on your wrists. i have found this common to help

personal experiences

my best mate he walked in on me when i was cutting my self

he made me see a srink and get help

i alsow hid my tools and then looked at my life.

hope i help

you need to go seek professional help, don't hesitate, they will understand. try behavioral therapy with a psychologist.
