My ear pop constantly help?!

Question: My ear pop constantly help?
I don't know what it is but for some reason I have my ear popping maybe not on a regular basis but once they start popping they do it for a while (over 2 days). Every time it pops it hurts a little bit. It's not like it's bleeding or anything but this concerns me. It's always the same ear too. I don't have medical insurance right now so seeing a doctor is >.> quite costly. Anyways does anyone have any idea what might be going on with my ear?

Answers:

The only time I had this happen was when I had a stuffy nose.
The middle ear is connected to the back of the nose by a short narrow tube, the Eustachian tube. This tube normally opens when we yawn or swallow to allow secretions to drain from the middle ear. It also keeps air pressure equal both sides of the eardrum.
Think how taking off and landing in a plane can affect ears.

A cold or allergy can block the Eustachian tube due to congestion in the nasal lining. This prevents the normal flow of fluid from the middle ear.

Try an antihistamine, take your pharmacist's advice as some make people drowsy.

This plan is ideal for individuals in transition. Try a decongestant, you may have mild allergy symptoms, not enough to sneeze and get watery eyes but enough to block up the tubes from your ears.
