Ongoing Stomach Problems?!

Question: Ongoing Stomach Problems?
Hi im 18 and have been having lots of stomach issues, saw the GI for a 4th time yesterday. took antibiotics back in august and have been having problems ever since, mostly GAS (stomach rumbling, lots of belching and flatulance, the worst is the stomach rumbling) i have had on and off blood which they didn't think was anything serious and have had stool/lab work done with no results. I had felt better after going on a candida diet and noticed lots of white cobwebs around my stool, they said it wasnt candida and that it was mucus which i disagree plus i seem to think i have a white bumpy tongue towards the back. Finally, the doctor said he thinks i might have health related anxiety, i dont know what to think really.... its been a tough year but could that really be why my stomach is having so many issues?

p.s. they never did a stool check for candida just c diff. all they did was look at my tongue and perscribe me an oral lozenge for candida of the mouth so idk what to think.

il be amazed if anyone takes the time to read all this, but if anyone does i am indebted to you and so is everyone else for having what many people dont these days, good character.

Thanks and godbless

i will be finding miniscule relief in tums...

Answers:

Candida can certainly cause a lot of problems in the gut, and of course antibiotics can cause Candida.

If you do have GI Candida then the correct diet is Ketogenic. Focussing mainly on fat and protein and using a soluble fibre. The worst carb to have is Fructose since that is used to make new Candida cells. Sucrose (table sugar) is half fructose.

To cure GI Candida is relatively easy; take 1/2 teaspoon Potassium Sorbate dissolved in water every day (you can get this from eBay). Its very safe, so there is nothing to loose. After a few weeks you can then restock the gut with good bacteria.

Note that if you take yeast, mould, bifidobacterium or FOS before then you could get bloating and gas. Perhaps bread yeast has been causing some of your symptoms? Candida reacts aggressively towards other fungi and also to bifidobacterium (FOS is rocket fuel to bifido). Gas production is one of the indicators of its aggressive activity.

It sounds like IBS. And yes anxiety does cause these symptoms.

check for parasites too or traveller's disease - people who travel alot get an imbalance of good bacteria. you need a probiotic
