how can i get my mum to take me to hospital?!

Question: How can i get my mum to take me to hospital?
please no "Love your life, stop being stupid" answers, they don't help. many thanks.
ok, i'm 13 and i'm a girl. i have a lot of problems, my dad is a alcoholic and emotionally/mentally abuses us (my family). i have been on the Childline* website and talked to some people there, i have also done some research and i think i have depression/bipolar disorder. also i self harm sometimes :3
so yeah, i need help. my mum is in denial about me being depressed, she even saw some of my cuts once and turned a blind eye. now, she is a lovely mum and she cares for me very much, but i think she thinks"this is what happens to other people" sorta thing :/
i can't just say "mummy, take me to the gp for a depression test." she will tell me i'm stupid.
i considered a overdose, not to much just enough that i have to go see a doctor. but i know thats stupid.
any ideas?

Answers:

tell her you want help and you dont wanna feel like this anymore. You dont want to wind up in coffin, but you dont want to be depressed. You want to be happy again right? So do me a favour, get up of the computer, and go talk to your mum. If she becomes upset, that doesnt me shes mad, it means shes concerned and shes worried for you and that she wants her little girl happy.

Take yourself to a health clinic, Planned Parenthood, or the hospital.

Your mum is so wrong and I can't understand what she's afraid of. Tell her you are so depressed that you've thought of suicide. Maybe that will make her wake up!

You can let her read this if you like. I can tell from your question that you definitely need to talk to a doctor-soon! :) :)

Think of all the positive things in your life. And then talk to your mum about how you feel. Make sure she is taking you seriously. DO NOT take an overdose of any medicine, its dangerous. When you are also talking to your mum, ask her about counseling. The counselor will help.
I know times are hard for you, but try to keep a positive outlook as much as possible...

what hospital do u want to go to? a psychiatric hospital or to see the therapist? show her what you just wrote here, and be serious and assertive about it. tell her your problems are affecting your ability to function normally.

This is very sad for you. I would have thought that childline would be able to advise you exactly what to do. Can you also go and see your GP, even if you have to go alone (or with a supportive friend)? On the NHS this should be possible.
