How can I cope with the flu?!
Question: How can I cope with the flu?
The main problem is that I have 2 papers to write this weekend, so I need to get enough strength to get out of bed. Are there any remedies or tips that you'd recommend? I'm a 17 year old male, if that makes any difference.
Thank you so much! And I'm almost positive that I have the flu because it's been going around in school for the past few weeks, and my mom has it as well.

yea i just caught something too and the second day was bad so i did my usual sick stuff and squeezed 2 lemons into a glass and took it as a shot to disinfect your throat. then slowly drink (or eat idk) some honey so it can do good for your throat. then do whatever to get vitamin c in your body through fruit or supplements or whatever. and i brewed some fresh green tea from the bag because its more natural then the lipton kind but if thats all you got the lipton kind is good too and drink it because the antioxidants will help get toxins out of your body and make you pee more. drink a lot of fluids too to pee more because that gets it out of your system faster and have a heavy duty blanket so you can sweat more because like peeing it get it out your system faster. and make sure every chance you get spit out your mucus. i recommend natural cures because they work the best unlike pills from "the man" ps. im a 19 year old male too.
I have always heard and read that it is hard to get too much Vit C in our bodies (as excess flushes out)....I start taking extra Vit C ... maybe 1000 mg three times a day. Also, the Ester C is MUCH better (like time released I think). This always helps me....I rarely get into a bad cold etc. I tell folks that I start EATING VIt C! It works!
God bless you

Chop up some fresh garlic, add oregano and cayenne pepper, put it in some honey and swallow. Don't chew. You'll have bad breath for days. If you're not diabetic or allergic to sulphur, dip your feet into a hot bath filled with Epsom salt to draw out the toxins.
Best of luck!

Talk to your doctor about ways to alleviate your symptoms. Perhaps you could have a friend help you with the papers. You dictate and your friend can type out the papers.
Go to the store and buy some ibprofin, perferablly the stuff made for flu/colds.. buy some "sleepytime" tea, stay hydrated, and eat some chicken soup. Get well soon.
