Can you eat Aloe Vera (the clear pulp part)raw?!
Question: Can you eat Aloe Vera (the clear pulp part)raw?
I was just wondering because I got a drink that had whole aloe vera pulp in it,
and I was wondering if people can eat it from the plant straight without cooking it or anything.
Anyone know?

It is edible but it doesn't taste very good. We have some growing in our front yard and i wondered the same thing. So i asked my dad and he said yea you can it but i wouldn't recommend it. I tried and he was right. The taste was very gross.
So i assume they do something with the aloe vera before it's placed in the drinks.
Aloe Vera is usually cold pressed before ingested. I haven't heard of anyone cook Aloe Vera though, so that new to me, but I'd like to know too :)

You can if you want to but it works better if you rub it on a sun burn or plain skin.
