Answers:

after one week, you will have more energy, and be able to run faster, jump higher, etc.. the benefits from quiting now will show quickly. Plus, your teeth get whiter, and you don't smell like an "ashtray" mouth! LOL The craving, mostly goes away, but your gonna have to dig deep to fight the urge. Get your head in the game, and stick with it!

I still desire a smoke from time to time, but I am so happy that i realized i don't need a "smoke" for anything in my life!

Good Luck... Quit, Quit, Quit!!

I was a smoker for 40 years. 20 to 30 smokes a day. I stopped 2 1/2 years ago. It drove me crazy for the first month or so. I gradually got used to not smoking. The nicotine addiction wears off first but the habits are very hard to break. When you drive, on the phone, after eating, when you drink alcohol, when a situation is stressful, these are the danger times when you want to smoke the most. I had trouble trying to not touch my shirt pocket to see if my pack was there. Stupid habit. Quitting means just that. The only real way to quit is to stop doing it. You will indeed suffer for a while but the suffering is worth it and you will also save a ton of cash.

I think it really depends on how long you have been smoking, how many per day, and how much of a habit it is. For me, I smoked for about 2 years, and the first few days weren't so much about getting through the cravings, it was about breaking the habit. I would have one every time I got in my car, 2 breaks at work, every morning upon waking up...etc. its the whole 'breaking routine' that was hard. After about 2 weeks, I was basically back to normal.

day one the only thing you think about is having a good smoke. after week or two you don't really think about it anymore but everyones different.

Like you can finally breath.
