Why does my stomach hurt when I cough? ?!

For the past fee days I've had a cold (with a fever, runny/stuffy nose, cough, dizziness etc) and just today I noticed that when I cough my abdominals hurt. It's the area in the middle somewhat around my belly button. Also, my cough is dry and phlegmy but I'm assuming that's just from the cold. So whats wrong with my stomach?
