Question: Prednisone and metabolism? D:?
I was on only 30 mg for about a week. Then the tapering took like a month.
The last pill I took was on Valentine's day.
I gained a lottt of weight. I've always been 95 pounds (I'm 5 feet tall) but my weight went up to 109. ):
I used to be able to eat ANYTHING and not gain weight, but now it seems like I eat one cookie and I gain weight. )x I got it back down to about 100lbs. But only with eating only fruits and vegetables and lean meats. I cut out ALL processed junk and sweets.
I'm only 14. How long should it take for my metabolism to go back to the way it was before? Will it ever? D:
It's not like I want to eat junk all the time, but I don't want to have to worry about counting calories EVERY DAY.

Prednisone just causes weight gain, among the many other nasty side effects it can have. If you want to lose another five pounds continue to eat what you've been eating. Once you get back to your normal weight you can probably go back to eating what you want, although I'd go easy on the junk food for awhile.
